Chapter History

Since its founding on June 1, 1963, the Iota Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has remained a pillar of service, leadership, and brotherhood in the Nacogdoches, Texas community. Rooted in the fraternity’s cardinal principlesManhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift—our chapter has worked tirelessly to uplift, educate, and empower those we serve

For more than five decades, Iota Rho has been committed to mentoring young men, providing scholarships to aspiring students, engaging in social action programs, and supporting local initiatives that strengthen our community. Whether through our youth mentorship programs, voter registration drives, health and wellness initiatives, or economic empowerment efforts, we stand firm in our mission to make a lasting impact.

As a proud part of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., we uphold the legacy of our illustrious founders by striving to be a beacon of hope, progress, and unity. Our members come from all walks of life—educators, business leaders, public servants, and community advocates—each dedicated to making a difference through service and brotherhood.
